The Autistic Union

Introduction

The Autistic Union is a revolutionary left platform committed to the total liberation of autistic people. We are a communist network founded on the belief of abolishing capitalism, ableism, and all forms of hatred against autistic people. We are also against bourgeois psychiatry and all forms of ableism as an end goal. To do this, however, we had to create a platform for its use, which is why we use forums and different types of social media to organize.

Why Capitalism and not just ableism?

The reason why we as a group focus more on capitalism rather than just ableism is because capitalism is directly tied to getting in the way of how autistic people and neurodivergent people as a whole live their life and experience it. We are constantly harassed, commodified, and bastardized in the name of capitalism. Our wider goal is the liberation of neurodivergent people and all disabled people under the self-abolition of the proletariat.

I am (insert ideology/tradition here). Can I join?

As a primarily online and international communist organisation, we do not require you to adhere to a specific tendency/tradition/doctrine/ideology of communism, only that you subscribe to the princples of communism. We allow almost all flavours of communism and anarchism, with the exception of nationalist/chauvinist and exclusionary tendencies.
